WELCOME
The D16 communications program mandates that members have access to post and modify information to the D16 website. Overall authority for the D16 web content is the District Public Relations Officer (PRO) (or a designee) and the Executive Committee. The design of the web will be made to facilitate submissions via web pages. Necessary reviews will be made via review pages by authorized D16 individuals. The vision is to have a dynamic web location where members and guests can see that D16 is alive and transforming peoples lives throught the Toastmasters program. There are two parts of the D16 web site - external and internal. The following describes the screen in terms of the columns of information being presented. As the D16 website creation process unfolds, pieces may be added to this list. A description will help to understand the processes involved. When completed the item will be marked. Of course, all items are in a continuing state of invention and modification. EXTERNAL |

Conferences | The conference area (like an online chat) of the D16 website is on the internal side. However, listed on the external page is a list of the conference titles to help give members an idea when new information has been posted and to encourage them to go to the internal site to read and participate in the conference. Submission: Members can use online submission form to participate. There is an email and password feature to enter the member area. That information is (will be) sent to each member's email address. Review: Self Policing. The conference is not monitored. Members posting information are responsible to be professional and Toastmasters appropriate. |

Calendar Plus view screens for Club, Area, Division, and District functions. |
The calendar is a driving force for a sucessful District. All members should keep aware of upcoming events. Club Distinguished Club Plans have items that must be completed on time. The goal for the D16 calendar is to have full descriptions of events so members can learn what the annual events are - not just their title. Additionally, there are calendar viewing pages for clubs, area, division, and district. These pages draw from the database, information which has been marked of specific interest to those groups. Submissions: All members can upload a calendar item via web calendar input screens. Each submission will be reviewed. The review exception are Club speech contest dates which are not reviewed prior to being made live on the webpage. Review: The PRO (or designee) will modify or delete any inaccurate information. |

Scrapbook - Short News Stories | Not all news is "center column news". There are news items which are important and should be covered as a family would cover family news in a scrapbook. The scrapbook area will grow to include photo album material which highlight our club, area, division, and district activities. Submissions: All members can submit information to the PRO. Albums will be created and posted. Review: The PRO (or designee) will create and post the information. |
